Yes. Sri Lankan students can apply for a UK Student Visa and study at universities like LSBU in London or De Montfort University in Leicester for the September 2026 intake. Applications are open now.
Do I need to pay Roots Management any fees? +

Do I need IELTS to apply? +
Most UK universities require an English language qualification such as IELTS (typically 6.0–6.5 overall). However, there are alternatives including Duolingo English Test, PTE Academic, and some universities accept O/L or A/L English results. Contact us and we will advise based on your situation.
Where do I do my TB test in Sri Lanka? +
Sri Lankan nationals applying for a UK Student Visa must complete a tuberculosis (TB) test at an approved clinic in Sri Lanka before applying. We will guide you to the correct UK-approved clinic and explain the process.
How long does the UK visa take from Sri Lanka? +
Standard UK Student Visa processing from Sri Lanka typically takes 3 to 8 weeks after your biometrics appointment. We recommend applying at least 3 months before your course start date. We help you prepare a strong, complete application.
Can I work part-time while studying in the UK? +
Yes. UK Student Visa holders are typically permitted to work up to 20 hours per week during term time, and full-time during official university holidays. We help you find part-time work opportunities when you arrive.
What is the Graduate Route (post-study work visa)? +
The UK Graduate Route allows international students who complete a UK degree to stay and work in the UK for 2 years after graduation (3 years for PhD graduates). This is available to graduates from both LSBU and DMU.
